Where does the word "tecato" used to call a drug addict come from? The word "tecato" is the Hispano-Americanization of tecatl, a Nahuatl word, which was spoken by some indigenous civilizations. This word is, at the same time, a word and a suffix, and means "person" or "authority", with positive value. Thus, tenyotecatl means "famous" and achtontecatl "commander". We’ve decided to reverse engineer this concept and returned it to its original positive value of person of authority famous concept.
